Our client is seeking an Associate Financial Advisor/Tax, with a strong tax background that desires transitioning into the area of “Investment Advisory”, “Wealth Management” & “Estate Planning”. Responsibilities:
Directly support one of our Counselors – Investment Advisers regarding issues such as:
– Investment portfolio construction and management; long-term investment strategy
– Income tax planning, including federal and state tax return preparation and tax dispute resolution
– Public and private company stock, stock options, restricted stock units, and stock purchase plans
– Retirement and other forward-looking planning
– Estate plan architecture; gifting strategies; estate and gift taxes
Requirements:
– One or more of the following credentials: law degree (JD, LLM); advanced tax degree/designation (Master of Taxation, LLM, CPA, EA, CFP); CFA
– 2-4 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, law, and/or taxation – strongly preferred
– Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills: the successful candidate eventually is expected to work with clients, give group presentations, and participate in new business development.
– Works effectively in a highly collaborative team environment, where everyone has a helpful attitude
– Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
– Extensive Excel and Microsoft Office experience. Strong overall computer skills
Desired Experience:
– Knowledge and experience with individual income tax issues & return preparation/review
– Experience serving executive/professional clients and exercising a high level of discretion
– Completed continuing finance education and licensing requirements (Series 65; Certified Financial Planner designation)
– Attention to detail to ensure quality work and ability to learn from mistakes

Compensation: $90,000-$145,000 w/ bonus (within 5 years total earnings should be $600,000-
$1,000,000)
